Boost the Basketball Team’s Morale with Big HeadsJustin Bowman
Every athletic team needs a little morale boost once in a while. The high school basketball team is a good example. Goodness knows, there is already so much going on in the head of a teenager. Add the pressure of having to perform during a game, and there’s no telling how a teen will react. This is why team building and morale are so important to control.
The coach has a lot to deal with. If the team has had a tough season or recently suffered a heartbreaking loss, morale can be at an all-time low. Maybe the team has had a great season and now the pressure is on for the playoffs. In any of these situations, it falls to the coach to get the team mentally and physically ready for the next game. But what can be done to boost the team’s morale? That’s where a basketball big head can come into play. Not just one basketball big head, but dozens, maybe even hundreds.
What are big heads? They are those oversized cardboard cutouts you see at sporting events. People hold up the cardboard faces of athletes or celebrities of whom they are fans, as a way of showing support. Imagine your school’s basketball team coming out onto the court at the start of the game and being greeted by a cheering crowd waving oversized pictures of every member of the team. There is nothing that comes close to comparing with the lift in spirits something like that can provide for your team.
